Defining Moment: My greatest achievement thus far is co-writing
the book Moneymaking Moms, simply because it offers other mothers
the guidance they need to be at home and run a small business.
For women who are looking for an alternative to spending many
hours a day away from their children, Moneymaking Moms has been
referred to as an invaluable tool. I am proud to be able to help
those mothers who are in search of a career at home.

Goal: I need more time!
Give me an extra 20 hours each day and I could expand my career
ten-fold. The truth is, as my children get older they require
more of my time, I spend hours each day carpooling them to various
activities and events and it does take time away from my work.
However, they do come first and I work when I can.

Force: I
wanted to raise my children and be home with them.

- EP Musings: There is no question that the positive
traits that a home career offers my children are, first and foremost,
the knowledge that they have choices. They see first hand that
there are options available to them other than putting a child
in fulltime day care for several hours each day. Also, they see
that, as a woman, I have strengths in the business world and
that will aid them in their quest for equal career opportunities
in the future.

- EP Advice: Stick with it! Put together a good strategy
and exercise a marketing plan and promote your business well
and give it an opportunity to grow. Don't expect miracles overnight
and don't be unrealistic when setting goals for your business.
Growing a business takes time, effort and energy and you must
be willing to give your business all three key ingredients.

plan your week, plan your goals, plan your strategy and then
follow through.
