Thanks to all who have posted replies so far. I am taking all of your good advice. I hope to get more replies - the more ideas I can get, the better for someone like me.
I joined the Chamber of Commerce here, and will try to work up enough nerve to go to one of their breakfasts. But the thought of it makes my stomach hurt!! I will also try the want ads, and try to do a mailing. Generally I don't feel mailings are very productive, does anyone have thoughts on this as a marketing tool for the type of services I offer (accounting and business writing)? I am afraid I won't be able to get around this shyness, but I will try out all of your advice so far. Thanks again!
