I have three children - ages 2, 11, and 13. It wasn't until my youngest child was born that I was in a position to make the transition from working outside the home to being a home-based professional.
As I mentioned, professionally, the hardest thing for me, has been the isolation.
As a parent, who works from home, the biggest challenge for me has been to NOT spend ALL of my time working. I still do my housework and fix meals, etc, but I find that I don't spend a great deal of time just being with my kids. I'm here for them, but not always "with" them.
Some times I just have to make myself "take five" so that we can go do something. That's the hardest thing for me.
