Terri,
I think that one of the reasons many people are adverse to MLMs is because they require trying to get friends and family members to sign up as part of your down line. There's a sales pressure that most people just want to avoid.
MLMs are a good way for some people to earn a living and many people have become successful at it. However, the basic principle applies here that success is the result of hard work and dedication. Personally, I believe that if a person has the desire to succeed that they will. It doesn't matter which path they choose, as long as the devotion, and committment are there.
