Hi, I'm a new member and am dropping a few lines to greet everyone and introduce myself. I'm a massage practitioner in Oklahoma. I have recently finished my web site and would like to cordially invite everyone to take a look at it, and give me some feedback. I welcome ALL ideas!
DeAnna's message caught my attention. I think it's a wonderful idea to provide onsite childcare at the spa. When I worked at massage center many mothers could not keep their appointments because they could not find childcare. Also some massage therapist had children of their own who sometimes had their sitter cancell or call in sick and could not make it to work. I think if you can come up with a way to sound proof a room where the children will be taken care of your business will be BOOMING! I have a couple of years of experience in the childcare field. My advice is that you hire part-timers. Believe me full-timers get burned out. Some good places to look for young enthusiastic workers is to put ads in local community colleges. People who are taking child development courses are your best target to get quality child care. I know from experice. They want to get exposure to children and many are quality-childcare-conscious. Best wishes and blessings to you!
