At our local hospital they have/had a program for Seniors called Seniorcare. They had so many programs you could do one, a few or all of them. One really popular one was "Armchair Travels". Once a month there would be a film, documentary, or movie about some country. Afterward there would be a related meal or snack. They would be sold out. Coordinating it was hard the first year but after that it was smooth sailing. Senior exercise programs. You could do a month "Lunch and Learn". Get a discount rate at a local place, do a potluck, or make it yourself and then have a talk on aging issues. The possibilities are endless. Check with hospital, social agencies, or churches that might be willing to offer free space or sponsorship.
