Lisa,
Have you submitted your site to any search
engines? Also, have you checked with any
link or banner exchanges? What are you
doing locally to promote your business? I
suggest low cost newspaper ads and posting
on bulletin boards. Check with your local
schools and daycares, they might be willing
to send home flyers with their students.
An open house might also be a good idea.
You can set the theme to whatever you would
like, since Easter is coming up you could
decorate with that theme. You'd basically
have a mock party, place ads all over
town, invite friends and family and offer
some type of insentive if they bring
guests. Serve refreshments, have a door
prize, have someone be in charge of the
children, so you can talk to the adults.
Have games, face painting, music, balloons, the works! Have
plenty of sales tools, business cards,
pamphlets, etc., on hand too. I think this
could get the word out that there's someone
in your town who's providing this type of
service and products.
Graduation is coming up too. There will be quite a few graduation parties going on. Maybe, if your budget allows, you could offer a drawing for some type of party package to a graduating senior. You know how kids are, if one gets something, the rest want it too and they can influence their parents to purchase.. Kinda sneaky, but it works! Check with the local paper and see if you can have a press release written for your business also.
Just use your head, think about your
target audience, primarily parents, and go
where they are, make yourself visible, and
let them know what you have to offer.
Good luck to you!
