I have a home-based business writing memory books/family histories for clients whom I personally interview and then record their stories. I have heard the most touching, poignant, thought-provoking stories that have led me to re-evaluate many of my own values and experiences, especially since I have met so many people whom I never would have come into contact with in my daily suburban existence,people totally different than me or my friends, and who are infinitely interesting. I have also gone in totally new business directions based on client input. For ex., my initial target market was grandparents, and one mentioned to me that her daughter had just adopted a son and wanted to record the story of his birth, etc. to give to him when he comes of age. I never would have thought of that, and it opened up a whole new client population. I'm definitely growing through this business,especially because of the clientele, personally and professionally.
